Leadership

Improving health care equity requires an organizational commitment and should be a strategic priority. This requires a leader(s) identified by the organization to provide oversight and coordination of activities to reach its health care equity goals. The health care equity leader(s) must also have a thorough understanding of the organization’s patient population so that the care provided is relevant to the population’s needs.

A collection of curated resources have been identified to help organizations meet the certification requirements. Resources can be filtered by element of performance (EP), which have been labeled to indicate the focus of the requirement.
