Sprinkler protection provides a quick response to a life threatening fire condition. Suppressing the fire rather than containing ensures a safe patient care environment, while protecting the building.

Failed sprinkler systems result in loss of life.

A sprinklered building allows certain building features to be reduced. However, if the sprinkler system were compromised, the amount of fire protection would also be impacted, and patients and staff placed at fire risk.

Ensure sprinklers are not compromised by blocking them with storage.

Ensure sprinklers are maintained; are not compromised by blocking them with a storage or hanging anything from the sprinkler heads. There must be at least 18 inches below the sprinkler head diffuser without any obstruction.
