Chief Information Officer (Interim)

Sheela Suresh is the interim Chief Information Officer at The Joint Commission. In this role, Ms. Suresh leads the vision for an enterprise-wide business digital transformation that includes the development and execution of information technology, and business applications for The Joint Commission, Joint Commission Resources and Joint Commission International. She also oversees technology strategies and operations that advance the enterprise’s high-performance operating environment in a secure and efficient manner.

Ms. Suresh brings more than 30 years of extensive technology experience mostly in healthcare. Previously, Ms. Suresh served as the Business Leader of Innovation and Application Development for Joint Commission Resources. In addition, she has held technology consulting positions in various companies.

Ms. Suresh received her Master’s in Health Informatics degree from Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. She also holds a Master of Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Math from University of Madras, India.
