Emergency Generator - Fuel Capacity

What is the minimum required on-site fuel supply necessary?

The minimum required on-site fuel supply is determined by the licensing authority (typically the state health department). It is typically stated in hours, so the on-site fuel storage is based upon the peak building load connected to the generator, not necessarily the full load capacity of the generator unless required by the licensing authority. Seismic risk area generators are required to operate for a minimum of 96 hours without refueling.
