Michael W. Kaba, MS, MBA is the Chief Human Resources Officer for the Joint Commission Enterprise. In this senior leadership position, Mr. Kaba oversees all human resources activities including talent acquisition, management and development, employee relations, benefits and compensation, professional education, and the corporate library.
Mr. Kaba is a highly accomplished, results-oriented executive with over 25 years of extensive experience in human resources and organizational development. His background includes broad knowledge across all HR competencies, with extensive organizational development and business integration experience. Mr. Kaba comes to the HR profession with a non-traditional background having started his career at General Electric in quality and process improvement, as well as prior experience in management consulting.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Kaba served as the Director of Global Talent, Diversity and Organization at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (Stellantis). Previously, he held positions with Case New Holland (CNHi), Hewitt and Associates (Aon Hewitt), Sibson and Company, Price Waterhouse (PWC), and General Electric Company.
Mr. Kaba received his Master of Business Administration from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois. He also has a Master of Science in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Lafayette College, Easton, Pennsylvania.
