Joint Commission orthopedic certifications advance quality by providing a structure for organizations to improve their patient outcomes and reduce patient risk through clinically proven evidence-based care.
Set Your ASC Apart with a Higher Level of Care
Joint Commission is uniquely positioned to help your organization excel with certifications that recognize your orthopedic specialty program. Any ambulatory surgery center (ASC) that is deemed to meet the Medicare CoPs, either by an accrediting agency or by their state, is eligible for Joint Commission Advanced Certification for Total Hip and Knee Replacement (THKR) and Advanced Certification in Spine Surgery (ACSS).
These advanced certification programs help ASCs develop consistent communication and collaboration among all health care providers involved in the care of the patient — from the pre-surgical orthopedic consultation with their surgeon to the ASC admission, rehabilitation activities and then the follow-up visit with the orthopedic surgeon.
