History and Physical - Prenatal Record
Can the prenatal record be used as the history and physical for the obstetrical patient?
It is recognized that the prenatal patient is a special situation in that, in and of itself, the prenatal course of care is a planned, systematic updating of the history and physical performed at the first visit and throughout the pregnancy. As such, the entire prenatal record can be utilized as the history and physical, provided it is updated to reflect the patient's condition upon admission.
