Design Criteria - Clinical Sink in a Medical Surgical Unit

What is the requirement for design criteria on clinical sinks in medical and surgical units?

Any examples are for illustrative purposes only. 

The FGI Guidelines state; patient care units are required to have a soiled workroom that contains a flushing-rim clinical service sink with a bedpan-rinsing device or equivalent flushing-rim fixture (see 2.1-  These sinks, commonly referred to as “hoppers”, are used for disposal of liquid clinical waste.

For new, altered, or renovated space, organizations are expected to comply with either state rules or regulations (if applicable), or the 2018 FGI Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospitals.
