What Is Accreditation?


hand 20shake 20 1Accreditation is the process of inviting outside experts to conduct a review of your organization to validate and/or improve the safety and quality of care, treatment or services provided, as measured by compliance with accreditation requirements.
 

Why Achieve Accreditation?

two 20people 20 2Organizations often seek Joint Commission accreditation as a means to enhance organizational performance.  Accreditation may also be used to meet licensure requirements or conditions of participation with payors.  And Joint Commission accreditation is a visible symbol to individuals served and the community of an organization’s commitment to safe, quality care.
