Webinar: Survey Analysis for Evaluating Risk

Tuesday, March 07, 2017 - 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM (CT)

Short Description:

The Joint Commission has developed a transformative Survey Analysis for Evaluating Risk™ (SAFER™) Matrix™ to prioritize resources, as well as to focus corrective action plans in areas that are in most need of compliance activities and interventions. The SAFER™ Matrix™ was implemented in January 2017.

The SAFER™ Matrix™ development was driven by The Joint Commission’s focus on providing our accredited and certified organizations an on-site and post-survey experience that allows an organization to see areas of noncompliance by illustrating the likelihood to harm a patient, staff or visitor, as well as the scope of a Requirement for Improvement (RFI).

The SAFER™ Matrix™ was implemented in January 2017.

The objectives of this webinar are to provide:

  • Additional information to help organizations understand the new SAFER™ Matrix and prepare for this transition.
  • A live demonstration of how the SAFER™ Matrix is scored in the field.
  • Specific data collected, as well as feedback from field surveyors and organizations.
  • Details surrounding the new Evidence of Standards Compliance (ESC) fields, and data that can be shared from the Business Intelligence (BI) tool.

Space is limited for this webinar. Registration will close when we have reached maximum capacity. This webinar will be recorded. If you are unable to participate, a replay of the webinar with presentation slides will be available on The Joint Commission website following the program.
