Bottom line, Joint Commission accreditation helps us attract customers who might not look at us otherwise. The Gold Seal gives us instant credibility. We have facilities in different parts of the country, so when families choose a location they know that each facility provides the same high quality care no matter where it is located.
The Joint Commission helps us provide better service to our students. We are a level one residential treatment center and, unlike our competitors, we are not locked down. The kids walk around campus. There are no seclusion rooms. This is a direct result of The Joint Commission’s restraint and seclusion standards.
Joint Commission accreditation provides ongoing tools to improve. Quality monitoring people don’t want to do unnecessary paperwork, and our staff members are convinced that The Joint Commission standards are relevant to their work.
