The Joint Commission adopted the 2000 edition of NFPA 101 Life Safety Code on March 13, 2003 when CMS adopted it. The Joint Commission will a adopt later edition of NFPA 101 and its Chapter 2 mandatory references when CMS recieves approval to adopt through their legislative process.
