Primary Source Verification - Education Verification for Licensed Independent Practitioners

When credentialing licensed practitioners including licensed independent practitioners, can verification of current licensure suffice for verification of education in lieu of performing primary source verification of the education?

Any examples are for illustrative purposes only.

If it can be determined that the body issuing the license conducts primary source verification of education before issuing a license, the accredited organization would not need to perform this function. Issuance of the license would verify that the minimum education requirements have been met by the individual. Primary source verification of education may be required to be completed by the organization when there are specific duties or responsibilities that are of a higher degree of education than are required to obtain a general license.
