Revision to MS.06.01.05, EP 7
The Joint Commission recently revised the time frame to evaluate a licensed practitioner’s ability to provide care, treatment, and services (MS.06.01.07, EP 9 and MS.07.01.01, EP 3). To further clarify the time frame for querying the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB), MS.06.01.05, EP 7 has been revised to require hospitals to query the NPDB in accordance with applicable law and regulation, effective August 27, 2023
