Introducing Joint Commission International (JCI) Patient Safety Grand Rounds, a new virtual event series designed to engage leaders in patient safety across policy, health systems, and healthcare delivery. The inaugural session, "Patient Safety 2025: Challenges and Opportunities," is April 30, 7-8 a.m. CDT, and features Sir Liam Donaldson, an international patient safety champion, in conversation with Dr. Jonathan Perlin, President and CEO, The Joint Commission and Joint Commission International, and Dr. Neelam Dhingra, Vice President and Global Chief Patient Safety Officer, Joint Commission International. Together, they will explore contemporary efforts to achieve zero harm.
Each JCI Patient Safety Grand Round session aims to create an inclusive space for thought leaders, healthcare leaders, clinical leaders, healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders to have an open dialogue and:
- Generate ideas, share best practices and experiences
- Discuss future directions and emerging trends
- Exchange resources, cutting-edge knowledge, technologies and strategies to enhance patient safety globally
Effective March 30, 2025, The Joint Commission approved new and revised requirements for deemed hospices related to U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation (CoPs).
