New Healthcare Executive editorial: “Unpaid Caregivers in Today's Care Economy”

The “care economy” is booming, with nearly one in two people serving as unpaid caregivers to a loved one.

To honor, support and create upward mobility for this vital population, The Joint Commission recently collaborated with ARCHANGELS to launch the Care Badge initiative. A new editorial in Healthcare Executive, co-authored by The Joint Commission's President and CEO, Dr. Jonathan B. Perlin, and Alexandra Drane, CEO of ARCHANGELS, frames caregivers as the invisible backbones of our economies that we can all do more to support.
