Perspectives: Reinstated ventricular assist device implant volume requirement
During the public health emergency, the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) halted the requirement to count the volume of ventricular assist device (VAD) implants by surgeons. As of May 11, counting VAD implants by surgeons resumes.
