Joint Commission accreditation gives us a rallying cry for improving our services. It has provided a pulpit from which we structure quality and safety activities and get buy-in from the physicians and staff.
Our motto is, “Live the standards every day.” We know that if we follow Joint Commission standards, we provide better care. We’ve seen it proven time after time.
Our malpractice suits have decreased since we’ve been accredited. I give a large share of the credit to the rigor of The Joint Commission accreditation process in improving the standard of safety for our patients.
