In the spirit of Patient Safety Awareness Week (March 4-10), The Joint Commission celebrates 10 years of its popular Speak Up campaign with a series of new posters featuring the characters from our Speak Up animated videos. The series of seven posters is available for free download from The Joint Commission website. Each poster features an animated character with a patient safety message and a smart phone QR code that provides access to the videos via your phone. Celebrate with us by taking the Speak Up quiz on our Facebook and Google+ pages to be entered into a drawing to win one set of the posters (10 winners will be drawn). The printed posters will be mailed directly to your organization, ready for display! Since the inception of The Joint Commission’s Speak Up program in 2002, there have been a total of 19 campaigns and six animated videos all developed to urge patients to take a role in preventing health care errors by becoming active, involved and informed participants on the health care team. The videos have proven to be wildly popular with audiences all over the world, and have been downloaded by organizations in more than 35 territories and countries. Free downloadable files of all Speak Up brochures, posters and videos (including Spanish language versions) are available on The Joint Commission website.
