On April 18, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a national alert regarding potential risks from accidental exposure to fentanyl patches, especially to young children. The FDA website includes information about disposing of fentanyl patches and reporting cases of accidental exposure to the FDA’s MedWatch Safety Information and Adverse Event Reporting program.
