Hospitals are required to collect and submit data to The Joint Commission on a minimum of four sets of core measures or a combination of applicable core measure sets and non-core measures as described in the table below. Data collected for any given calendar quarter must be submitted to The Joint Commission through the vendor no later than four months after the close of a calendar quarter. Please check with your vendor to determine the date by which data must be submitted to the vendor for processing.
For hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals undergoing an initial Joint Commission survey, data collection is required to begin on the first day of the first calendar quarter following survey. Hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals undergoing an initial survey should contact the ORYX Help Desk at 630-792-5085 or HCOoryx@jointcommission.org with its selection of core measure sets/measures and the name of the vendor through which data will be submitted to The Joint Commission as soon as is practical.
