This entry level pre-conference will offer an in-depth discussion on the Joint Commission’s Emergency Management Chapter. Attendees should leave with a firm grasp of how to conduct emergency management exercises, with emphasis on the six functional areas of the emergency management chapter of the accreditation manual. Foundations of the EM standards will be addressed, followed by a modified breakout format featuring evacuations, pandemic and active shooter/hostage scenarios.
