Make sure your comments address the following questions with regard to proposed revisions:

• Which program and chapter are you addressing?
• Do your comments represent your own perspective or that of an organization/association?
• Do any of the proposed standard revisions appear to contain new requirements?
• Are the proposed standard revisions clear?
• Are the proposed standard revisions applicable to your service area or setting?
• Are the proposed standard revisions essential to quality and safety of care in our service area or setting? (please state your service area or setting)
• Are there any requirements proposed for deletion that should be retained?

Feedback on the Infection Prevention and Control (IC) chapter will be gathered for six weeks beginning on August 13, 2008.  

Feedback on the Information Management (IM) chapter will be gathered for six weeks beginning on August 22, 2008. 

Feedback on the Performance Improvement (PI) chapter will be gathered for six weeks beginning on August 25, 2008

Reminder: The scope of SII is limited to revisions of current standards; it is not designed to introduce new requirements. Improvements to the standards are targeted for implementation in January 2010. Recommendations for new requirements will be considered for future standards development.
