International Awards

The Eisenberg Award recognizes major achievements of individuals and organizations in improving patient safety and health care quality.  The international awards are given annually for individual achievement and research or system innovation in patient safety and /or health care quality.

Individual Achievement
Nominees will have demonstrated exceptional leadership and scholarship in patient safety and health care quality through a substantive body of work. View Nomination Information and form.


Innovation in Patient Safety and Quality
Eligible applications are those that describe a specific and significant contribution to patient safety and health care quality.  Original projects, initiatives or original research involving successful system changes or interventions that make the environment of care safer, or that advocate on the patient’s behalf, are eligible for an award. These innovative projects or initiatives may address new technologies, protocols and procedures, education, organization culture, legislation, the media, patient advocacy, systems theory, etc.  View Application Information and form.
