Jean E. Range, M.S., R.N., C.P.H.Q.

Executive Director
Disease-Specific Care Certification

Jean Range is the executive director for the Disease-Specific Care Certification Program at The Joint Commission. In this role, she oversees all certification activities related to disease management services, including the development of standards and review processes.

Ms. Range has nearly 25 years of nursing, management and consulting experience in the health care industry. She most recently served as senior vice president for Clinical Operations at ParadigmHealth Corporation in Deerfield, Ill., a national disease management provider serving 31 states. Prior to that, Ms. Range was manager of Perioperative Outcomes at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Ill., where she managed performance improvement initiatives. Previously, she provided health care consulting services for more than a decade, both independently and with Consulting Services, Ltd., in Wheaton, Ill. and Ernst & Young, L.L.P., in Chicago.

Ms. Range became a certified professional in Healthcare Quality in 1995. She earned her master’s degree in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations from Loyola University Chicago and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Rush University in Chicago.
