  • Organ procurement, recovery and receipt
  • Organization leadership
  • Selection of patients and living donors, as well as managing care and respecting patient and donor rights
  • Coordination of care, including pre- and post-surgical processes
  • Qualifications of caregivers
  • Staff competency and training
  • Information management
  • Standardized performance measurement and data submission
  • Performance assessment and improvement

What does the certification process include?

The process includes:

  • Pre-survey information gathering;
  • An on-site evaluation of compliance with standards and clinical guidelines;
  • Regular monitoring of performance measurement results.
