Q. How does the organization submit stroke performance measure data to The Joint Commission?

A. Quarterly data submission is required for all standardized measure data.  Stroke data are electronically submitted using the Certification Measure Information Process (CMIP) application available on the secure-extranet site.  GWTG-PMT does not interface with CMIP.  Monthly data points (numerator and denominator) for each of the ten stroke measures should be entered and saved in the data collection portion of the CMIP tool. Data are submitted by clicking the “Send to The Joint Commission” button, and should be transmitted no later than 45 days following the end of the calendar quarter.
