Home Care

From the Executive Director

Established in 1988, The Joint Commission’s Home Care Accreditation Program accredits more than 3,400 organizations. The services are provided directly or through a contracted individual or organization. (See Types of Home Care Services).

Joint Commission accreditation is widely recognized as one of the most important seals of approval in the health care marketplace.

Surveys are conducted by professionals who have administrative and clinical experience in various home care organizations. The background and experience of the surveyor, as well as the cost and duration of your survey, depend on the types of services your organization provides, the volume of services provided and your organizational structure. The length of your survey depends on the size of your organization (number of branches and distance between them) and volume of patients served based on average daily census.

Please call (630) 792-5771 for more information about the Home Care Accreditation Program.

The Joint Commission is currently recruiting surveyors for the Home Care Accreditation Program.  For more information see the Careers section of our website, or e-mail, surveyorjobs@jointcommision.org.
