Revisions to Standards Requirements for Critical Access Hospitals with Distinct Part Units

Attached are the revisions referred to in the February issue of Perspectives.  There are three documents for your information.  These documents are as follows:

1. New Elements of Performance for Rehabilitation and Psychiatric Distinct Part Units (New EPs shown in context of the standard with the new requirement in bold text)
   
2. Revised Elements of Performance for Rehabilitation and Psychiatric Distinct Part Units (Revised EPs shown as bold text)
   
3. Deleted Elements of Performance for Rehabilitation and Psychiatric Distinct Part Units
    

Please note that there are many elements of performance that have been deleted.  However, it is important to note that compliance with the hospital CoPs is still expected; it is just that compliance will be determined via existing EPs, revised EPs, or survey process rather than these very specific EPs.
