One of the challenges facing the Joint Commission and our accredited organizations is educating the general public about the meaning of accreditation, and the amount of effort it requires.
Many of our accredited ambulatory care facilities have requested assistance with this, and as a result, we have developed a brochure to help explain to your patients the meaning of Joint Commission accreditation – the standard for quality in health care.
When patients have a choice of providers, Joint Commission accreditation offers a competitive advantage, but only when your patients know what accreditation means.
To help you communicate this to your patients, we have developed a brochure: This Facility is Accredited by The Joint Commission. What does that mean to you?
Due to its size we recommend the Macintosh file be downloaded by a professional printer only.
These are compressed folders containing Macintosh-format files and fonts. They also contain a "Read Me" for a commercial printer with all specifications (i.e. ink colors, paper stock, etc.) Do not try to decompress the folder if you are not on a Macintosh system. A windows version is not available.
No changes in, additions to, or deletions to the text should be made without prior written approval from the Joint Commission. You may personalize the brochure by adding your logo and information on the blank space on the back panel of the brochure.
If you have questions concerning these files, contact drutkowski@jointcommission.org.
