Associate Project Director, Behavioral Health Care

Manages projects related to the development of accreditation and certification standards and survey methods.  Serves on and/or leads internal work groups within the department and/or across the organization for projects of moderate complexity.  Wears multiple hats and plays multiple roles in a team oriented environment, and can include technical development, research, project and scope management. 

Requirements:  The level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of a masters degree.  Three to five years of progressively increasing responsibility in project management.  Demonstrated project management experience as evidenced by ability to lead, manage, plan, organize, and synthesize complex projects involving a wide range of individuals, groups, and/or committees.  This experience should include, but need not be limited to project management (work plan and deliverable management), research methods, report preparation and writing skills.  Strong analytical abilities to develop project plans, design data collection systems and interpret evaluation results.  Demonstrated ability to problem solve and juggle multiple priorities.  Facilitation experience including experience leading teams and meetings.  Effective interpersonal skills to interact with individuals at various levels both inside and outside of the organization, often in sensitive situations requiring political awareness.  Displays a strong commitment to superior quality and willingness to work flexible schedule based on workload and deliverable dates.  Excellent written and oral communication skills.  Qualified candidates may contact jfjobs@jointcommission.org
